I am not a company.

I recently looked after a friends dog for a week and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am a dog lover but I have only ever lived in apartments which unfortunately do not provide the freedom for a dog to run around in and be a dog. However tempted I am to get a dog anyway I have to think about it being refined to the flat whilst my partner and I are at work which wouldn't be fair on the dog.

My partner and I also do shift work which means there'll be no systematic way to our dogs way of life if we did get one. Anyway, I then had a discussion with my partner and she suggested that I try my hand at dog walking in my spare time until we move into more appropriate property which will accommodate us having a dog/s.

Both my partner and I are police officers within the Metropolitan Police Service and although we are not quite on the same shift pattern, I do work 6 days and get 4 days off. I figured apart from my going to the gym regularly, cleaning our apartment and shopping on my days off I don't do much else. I am not able to commit to a sport as I am not able to be there half of the time so I am overcome with a feeling of excitement and joy thinking that I may be able to walk someone else's dog whilst I am not able to walk my own as yet.

I would describe myself as a mature, responsible, reliable, patient, honest and trustworthy person who is a lover of dogs and although I do not have experience at dog walking I am very much willing to try and learn. I would not embark on something that I knew I wouldn't be able to manage.
