Previous Experience
After leaving university with a 2.1 hon degree in animal ecology in 2000, I worked with all kinds of animals. This included Gorillas and other primates as a zoo keeper, badgers and foxes as a wildlife rehabilitator and trainee guide dogs dog care, welfare, behaviour and training with Guide Dogs for the Blind for three years.
My husband is firstly a Guitar teacher and secondly works with me with the animals. He has been with me throughout my various roles, including hand rearing baby rabbits with me and looking after training guide dogs at home. He has an excellent understanding of dog behaviour and basic training.
I also have a four year old daughter who has been around animals all her life and, who is proving to be a better dog trainer than me!!!!
Lastly, we share our home with Foster the retired guide dog, bobcat and boris magic the hamster

Relevant Info
With us, the dogs happiness and mental stimulation is paramount. We do not walk dogs in large groups as some dogwalkers do. Coming from a training guide dog facility I have seen first hand the stress that some dogs experience in large packs. However, we usually walk a clients dog with our own pet retired guide dog. This can offer company and stimulation. We are happy to go with the clients wishes and walk their dog (s) alone if required.
