Previous Experience

I joined the Royal Army Veterinary Corps in 1990 and served for 8 years as a military dog trainer reaching the rank of Corporal and Specialist Course Instructor. During my time in the army I undertook various roles including the training of all classifications of military dogs from protection through to specialist roles such as tracker and arms explosive search dogs and handled dogs operationally both in the U.K and abroad. I also spent a year on the army dog display team which involved the training of demonstration/agility dogs.
Prior to the army I worked as a veterinary assistant privately

and as a zoo keeper which instilled me with a broad base of

knowledge and animal experience before joining the

services.

On leaving the forces I continued with my chosen

profession and have enjoyed a varied career instructing

employing companies in the use of dogs and carrying out

private and correctional training. Furthermore, I am a

member of the British Institute of Professional Dog

Trainers and a qualified canine first aider.

As a trainer I have over 20 years experience of dog training, care and husbandry. I recognise every dog as an individual that has individual needs.​​Furthermore, I employ several successful training methods to gain results and fully believe this is achieved through kindness and understanding of a dogs thinking and background. Be it puppy training or behavioural problems in an older dog, I will give you as an owner a clear understanding of what tools and changes are needed.

Other Services

All dogs need daily exercise, it helps keep them healthy, socialized, happy and out of trouble. It helps to stimulate their minds as well as their bodies. It is recommended that a dog should be walked for at least 30 to 40 minutes a day dependant on breed.I will collect your dog from your home, walk your dog nearby or transport him or her to a suitable area for a long, satisfying walk.Key holding facilties can be accomodated as can any special requirements you may have.
