About Me/ Company

My name is Lesley, I am 46 and I have recently relocated from Scotland to Derbyshire with my family including two dogs (Skye and Isla) and two cats. I offer a friendly and reliable service to dog owners in derbyshire area. I was a lecturer at our local college and was the office manager for a sports company prior to our move. However, new location, new start!

I am enjoying getting to know all the local dog walking sites and enjoying meeting a great many new dogs and their owners.

Have now added a third dog to the pack - she is a 5yr old rescue. Very beautiful and is a Pharaoh hound x English Bull Terrior. Let's just say being a behaviourist has helped!

I have alway had dogs and walk my own three times a day. I have a lurcher and a collie/beagle cross. I worked for a vet for many years before having my daughter and indeed have worked off and on with animals most of my life. Dogs however are my passion and I have recently started agility classes with my lurcher which is proving to be very amusing as they are not designed for such activities. However both of us are enjoying it and we don't mind if the collies leave us trailing behind. It's the taking part that counts! We know that on the flat they would never get near her!

Anyway, now that my family are well settled I wish to start up my own dog walking business. I have references available from dog walking friends in Scotland. I am very reliable and have transport should any dog need collected from home and brought back.

Coming from Scotland I am very used to terrible weather and so am not afraid of getting wet! Our dogs are walked no matter what so you can be sure that I would do the same for yours.

Previous Experience

Owned many dogs since a child and have worked on farms and for a vet for many years.

Have helped out dog walking friends when required and basically just love being around dogs.

Qualifications & Training

Qualified in animal husbandary and currently doing agility classes to improve my distance control with my own dogs. I am also a qualified dog behaviourist.

Relevant Info

I am also a qualified dog behaviourist and have studied dog psychology.

Other Services

Would be willing to visit client's homes if away and also assist with vet visits if owners cannot.
