About Me/ Company
My name is Wendy. I am the owner of Wendys Walkies and have been running my business for approximately two years now with the help of my husband Graeme who is also a dog lover. We love and care for our clients pets as we do our own with as little disruption to their normal routine as possible. We have a van to transport our guests to local parks, the beaches close by and the Rising Sun Country park where we have lots of fun chasing balls, throwing sticks and generally enjoying the environment.
Previous Experience
I have loved animals since I was a little girl starting with a tortoise (when you could buy them from pet shops, mice, hamsters and rabbits). I love horses and began riding at age 7 and had a horse of my own from age 11 which I schooled and eventually rode at horse shows. My family are also animal lovers and we have always had dogs in the home, first was Shane an Old English Sheepdog, then Mitzi, a Yorkshire Terrier, now we have two Shih Tzus, Harvey and Honey who love sharing their home with our doggie guests.
My husband Graeme is also a dog lover and he often helps out in the business. We cater for people who work, want to go on holiday or weekend breaks offering the assurance that their pets will be loved and cared for in the same way they are at home. Whether it is daily walks, overnight stays, day care, or weeks when you are away rest assured your pets will be happy and content in their holiday home.
We have been assessed by North Tyneside Council and given a 5 STAR rating for care and accommodation, we are fully insured, DBS checked. I have a Diploma in Pet Care and Pet First Aid certificate.
