About Me/ Company
My name is Wendy, I own Wendy's Pet Care, based in Derby. I have two German Shepherds and four Yorkshire Terriers. We are well known where we live and my dogs are well trained, friendly and sociable with other dogs.
I have always kept and loved pets, and come from a large family of pet lovers.
If you choose me to care for your dog they will be loved, well cared for and encouraged in good behaviour.
We work to professional standards but with a friendly and welcoming approach.

Previous Experience
I have worked in a commercial kennel/cattery caring for dogs, administering medication/special diets, exercising and socialising dogs. I also helped acclimatise dogs who were nervous in kennels or just pining for their owner. During my time there I also chipped dogs and helped to find good homes for strays or dogs whose owners were unable to care for them through poor health.
I have bred German Shepherds, have done obedience and agility training with dogs, and have a lot of experience with 'problem' dogs: dogs who are disobedient or aggressive to other dogs, people or chase cyclists/runners.
I also help out at Scropton Riding for the Disabled.
Qualifications & Training
I have qualifications in dog bathing and grooming and many years experience training and socialising dogs and puppies, including difficult dogs.

Our service is run to professional standards, but above all else we are pet lovers: we will love and cherish your pet as though they are members of the family. We do not see our job as stopping at your front door, but as a service which should enrich the life of both you and your pet.
Other Services
In addition to dog walking, we also offer dog day care services, dog/property sitting services and also have a spacious pet transport equipped with non-slip flooring, non-spill bows, an entrance ramp for dogs too unwell to jump 1nto the back, secure enclosures for smaller dogs and a veterinary approved pet first aid kit.
