Previous Experience

My name is Carol and I started Warminster Walkies after being made redundant in 2011. I became aware of the need for a reliable, responsible and trustworthy service through colleagues who were struggling to find one in the local area.
I have owned dogs for the past 30 years and was brought up in a dog-owning family. I trained all my dogs and those of my family, in obedience and my current dog, an Irish Setter called Jasmine, in Agility as well.
I also have a 4ft tropical aquarium containing a variety fish. Over the years I have owned a number of animals and birds including guinea pigs, a hamster, two budgerigars, a cat, and tortoises. I also ride and used to own a horse, a part-bred Arab mare, before starting a family. Since then I had part-loan of a thoroughbred cross mare until a few years ago.
I have worked as a groom at a local riding school and livery yard where I gained my BHS Stage 2 care certificate.
I will look after your animals as though they are my own, giving them all the care and attention that they need.
I am fully insured and CRB checked.

Dog Walking
Dogs need at least one good walk everyday, in order to avoid potential behavioural problems. Daily physical exercise also provides mental stimulation through the interaction with his or her surroundings, other dogs and toys, (e.g. chasing a ball or frisbee).

Many dog owners have busy lives with work and family commitments, while others are unable to get out themselves for a variety of reasons. Whatever the reason, Warminster Walkies can offer you a solution to the problem.

A mutually convenient time will be arranged to meet at your home when I can meet you and your dog(s). We will discuss your requirements and I will provide you with a copy of my terms and conditions. We can also talk about any queries that you may have about me or the arrangement.

Dogs are walked for 1 hour, 30 minute walks are available on request.
Dogs are walked in groups of no more than three.
Individual dog walking is available if requested, at extra cost.
Your dog(s) will be walked in a variety of locations in the area.
Your dog will be towel dried if needed on return.
I have a van, that will accommodate 3 well-behaved dogs.
I do not walk bitches that are in season but I can still visit her and play in your garden or just be company for her if you are out at work.

Home Visits
If you don’t want to put your pet(s) into boarding while you are away from home on holiday or business, Warminster Walkies can provide you with an alternative solution.

Warminster Walkies can visit your pet(s) in their own home once or twice a day to take care of their daily needs such as feeding, watering, toilet breaks, cleaning cages, bowls etc., and give them plenty of attention.

We will arrange a meeting in your home so that I can meet you and your animal(s) in their own environment, when we can discuss your requirements and I can answer any questions that you might have about the service.

Feeding and watering;
Cleaning litter trays, cages, bowls etc.;
Grooming;
Give medication as required;
Provide access to the garden for toilet breaks;
Plenty of cuddles and playtime;
I can also provide basic tasks in the home for the duration of your time away such as watering plants, opening/closing curtains.
Shop for essential items for when you return, such as bread and milk etc..

Dog and Small Animal Boarding
Warminster Walkies offers dog and small animal boarding, including birds, but owners must provide their own hutches, cages and outdoor runs. I have experience in looking after a variety of small animals and budgerigars. Warminster Walkies will only board one dog at a time unless there are two within the same family but that is the only exception. A one hour daily walk is included in the dog boarding price.

You can rest assured that your precious pet will be well cared for while you are away.

I have an enclosed back garden with lawned area for outdoor runs for rabbits and guinea pigs.
A sheltered patio for outdoor hutches.
Indoor small furries and birds can be accommodated within my house.
All animals will have daily interaction and handling.
Food bowls, water bottles and bowls are cleaned on a daily basis.
Hutches and cages cleaned on a daily basis.

Pet Taxi Service
If for any reason you are unable to transport your pet to the vets, groomer or boarding kennel, Warminster Walkies can offer a delivery and collection service in the company van.

You have the option of accompanying your pet on his or her journey with me or alternatively leave your pet in my safe and caring hands from door to door.

Keep your car clean and free from pet hair.
Warminster Walkies can represent you at the vets and relay the vets instructions etc. to you.
A flexible service offering drop off only, return only, return trips either at a later time or wait and return.
The service allows you to make appointments for your pet(s) for a time when you are at work or away from home for any reason.

Equine Services
Having owned a horse and had a horse on loan, I know that it can be hard to find a suitable, experienced person to look after them when you are away.

I have also have the experience of working at a riding school and livery yard and gained the BHS Stage 1 riding and care & BHS Stage 2 care certificates.

Warminster Walkies can offer two packages, depending on whether your horse lives out or is stabled.
