About Me/ Company

A female student at York who has had experience with caring for dogs (also large-breed) looking to earn extra cash by walking her favorite animals and spending time outdoors :). I have no referees yet, because I have just decided to start walking dogs for cash. I will ask the first customers to be my referees, if they will not mind.

Previous Experience

Before my studies at uni I have lived in a house with 2 doberman pinschers and helped to care for them. They have been my best friends and I really miss them a lot nowadays. I only see them on holidays when back home. I love to walk them and take them for a run and a swim. Also, the youngest one is attending doggy school and I have taken her to classes from time to time. I am calm and get along with dogs. I have understood that you have to talk to doggies calmly and slowly, in a tender manner - as they always sense you being nervous and that may affect how they behave. My theory is that most of the time when dogs misbehave, they have just misunderstood something - in general their intention is always to obey/ please their owner/family. During my experience only positive techniques have worked with my dogs - such as praising them for good things. In case of them misbehaving, I just ignore them or strictly say <<no>>, as shouting and panicking may just scare them anyway.
