About Me/ Company
Hello, my name is Amy and I love animals, in particular dogs. I am currently working from home and am seeking a canine companion with whom I can go walkies!
Fido will benefit from good exercise and an opportunity to relieve him/herself when you are unable to take him/her for a walk. I am more than happy to play fetch, or other games that Fido enjoys and finds mentally stimulating. I can also accommodate more laid-back or slower-paced characters, providing company and friendship.
I am flexible in terms of times and don't mind the cold or rain (well, not too much anyway...if Fido's willing then it can't be too bad!).

Cancellations
1.If you wish to cancel a walk, please let me know as soon as possible. I will be as accommodating and flexible as possible, however walks cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are chargable.
2.In the event that I am unable to fulfil my commitment to an agreed walk, I shall endeavour to give you as much notice as possible and you will not be charged for the walk in question.
3.Whilst I shall endeavour to arrive on time, given the nature of dog walking this may not always be possible. I will contact you as soon as I can to let you know of any delays.
Previous Experience
Growing up, my family always had a menagerie of animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, etc. I walked the family dogs, and I was responsible for looking after the guinea pigs. I also occasionally walked the neighbour's labrador, and dog-sat when they went on holiday. More recently, I have had hamsters though I do not currently have any pets of my own :-(
About 3 years ago, I started walking a delightful Cairn Terrier once a week, but she passed due to illness a year ago. I am now friends with a lively 5 month old Jack Russell. My parents have a super-energetic whippet/staffy cross, and a more subdued chocolate labrador.
Qualifications & Training
Last CRB check September 2012 (enhanced)
I have a degree in Zoology if that helps...!
Relevant Info
Before agreeing a walking arrangement, I will insist on the following:
1) To meet Fido and his/her owner(s) - maybe a cuppa and a chat so Fido and I can get to know each other, and his/her owners and I can discuss expectations, commands, etc.
2) A walk with Fido and his/her owner(s) so I can observe Fido's behaviour when out and about, get to know his/her usual walk (if s/he has a particular route), and to learn the commands that Fido responds to.
Furthermore, I will insist that Fido wears a fluorescent jacket after dark in unlit/poorly lit areas. I wish to walk no more than two dogs at any one time (i.e. walk), and both dogs should be from the same home.
