Hi my name is Amy. I grew up surrounded by animals in a very successful show kennel. I am an experienced dog handler and trainer. I also had horses and other small animals rabbits, guinea pigs. I worked in my spare time at a vets basically lived and breathed animals! My other passion was theatre and subsequently I moved to London and went to drama school and have been working in theatre and TV for the last 15 years.Having a young family now I really can't commit any longer to the long hours and travel required that take me away from home.
I am able to provide dog walking , training , I am an experienced dog handler and especially love puppy training and socialising Home visits , feeding and can administer medicines confidently.

I am able to walk your dog(s) either on their own or as a part of a pack. They will be exercised according to their age and your personal requirements, I am able to collect and drop off your dog from your home, the dog will be walked on the lead unless written consent is obtained. All walks can be tailored to suit you and your dogs needs.




I can provide good references and am fully insured.

Previous Experience

Been around dogs all my life .
Successful show kennel and handled all sorts of breeds for many different owners.

Junior Handler of the year at Crufts when I was 11 years old and qualified for the finals every year from the ages of 6-16.

Top Junior handler at an annual competition held on Jersey with handlers coming from all over Europe.

Worked as an assistant director in TV and Film for the past 15 years alongside many animal wranglers and handlers.

Qualifications & Training

Currently studying dog training and behaviour with the academy of dog training and behaviour (ADTB)

Also Canine first Aid

Certificates will be available as soon as courses are completed.

• Dog Walking
Whatever the weather, “Walkies for Paws” are committed to exercising your pet. I will collect your beloved dog and take him/her for a fun and stimulating walk. Dogs benefit greatly from a long, energetic fun walk and are then less likely to develop behavioural problems, as this ensures they are released from boredom and isolation. All dogs benefit from exercise mentally and physically after all dogs are pack animals and sociable creatures just like us. Your dog will receive individual attention as well as the companionship of other dogs who like nothing more than exercising in parks, open fields or woodland and once the walk is completed “Walkies for Paws” will ensure that your pet is returned to your home towel dried and ready to be welcomed back into the home. Each walk lasts for around one hour; you have the option of morning, lunch time or afternoon.

*Training

I also offer 1-2-1 positive reward based training, to help you conquer those little niggling habits.

*Home Visits

I can visit your dog in your home during the day. This is ideal for puppies, elderly dogs or perhaps dogs recovering from a visit to the vets.

This can include toilet breaks, walks, cuddles, mentally stimulating games, feeding, puppy training and, if required I can administer medication.

*Emergency Home Visits

If you're stuck at work I can pop by and let your dog out for you.

*Pet Transportation

I can assist you transporting your pet to the vets, groomers, kennels or home boarding.
I can also represent you at the vets if you wish.
