About Me/ Company

I am passionate about animals, but in particular dogs. I have been brought up with dogs from the age of 3, and now approaching 40 I have owned 4 of my own. They were all rescue dogs and I pride myself in knowing that I gave them the best life possible due to compassion and understanding. Due to losing my eldest 7 years ago and my middle two recently, it is only myself and my old girl left now.

I am looking to start walking dogs for their owners in the local area (Rushden), initially at the weekends as I work full time. I want to start of on a part-time basis with a view to making this a permanent vocation.

Previous Experience

I have worked for a local animal charity some years ago (before I had my own dogs), they are a rescue organisation and I would be involved in picking the dogs up, taking them to the vets, providing care etc when ill, home visits, vetting potential owners and rehoming. I also set up a rehoming kennels for them. This is where 2 of my old dogs came from and were with me for 15 years. I would have continued to work for them on a permanent basis, but unfortunately needs must and I had to go back in to full time work to pay the bills.

I am very hands on and have no problem getting my hands dirty. I believe that every dog is different and owners are responsible for their pets and it should be a life time commitment.

Relevant Info

I do not have a criminal record and am prepared to be CRB checked. I am passionate about all animals and nature and feel I have a great understand of dogs and how they should be treated.
