About Me/ Company

LEADING THE WAY is a small, home run business based in Northolt (UB55EA) set up & run by me and my partner. We are people and pet friendly and we view pets as true family members , who deserve lots of love and the best care that we can provide them. We have lots of love to give , and with us you can be sure that your pet is in good hands at all times , is loved and you will receive a truly professional service.

Flexible and happy to meet you and your dog at any time to make sure that you both are comfortable with us.
We can also drive/pick up/drop off dogs by car.

SERVICES OFFERED:
DOG WALKING :
Starts in the moment we pick up your dog , in order to maximise the amount of exercise and enjoyment for him/her, so NO sitting in back of the car for long journeys. We thing a visit prior to walking your dog is key in order for him/her to get familiarised with me and me with her.
We walk maximum two dogs at any time.

---For insurance purposes , we will require written permission from you for your dog to be let off lead.
prices: £5 for 30 minutes (ideal for puppies & older dogs)
£10 for 1 hour , £ 14 if two dogs from the same household
£15 for a 2 hour session

PET SITTING:
Based in Northolt , in a bungalow with lovely garden to play in during the day. Our garden overlooks Islip Manor Park and is secure to play in.
We have plenty of toys to play with and lovely lawn to relax on during their stay. Big park and Northolt Hills with its lovely fields and ponds only a short walk away .
Dogs can sleep inside our home or outside if preferred. We would recommend bringing their own bed , but beds/big crate and water/food bowls can be supplied.
We take only one or two dogs ( if from the same household) at a time to ensure proper attention and for a true HOME from HOME experience. This way, we believe that separation between dog and master is as painless as possible.
We have a very friendly Labrador who loves playmates coming to stay.
Cats will be kept separately from dogs at all times if requested.
We can also provide updates via email during the day, send through pictures with your dog for your peace of mind and enjoyment.

---Please note that we do not take bitches in season or full dogs , but house trained puppies are very welcome.

prices : £ 25 for 24 hours £35 for two dogs from the same household.

PET FEEDS AND VISITS
If your pet is alone during the day, while you are at work or away for long hours, we are happy to pop in to visit him, let him out to pee, feed him and for a quick play & cuddle.

price : £8 for 30 minutes


BASIC TRAINING
I am currently studying Dog Training and Behaviour as a member of ADTB
(ACADEMY OF DOG TRAINING AND BEHAVIOUR).
I will be able to give advice on the following :
- things to know before/ when buying a puppy/dog or rescue dog
- what is owning a dog likely to cost ?
- advice on breeds
- taking dogs abroad
- vet / vaccination / homeopathic vaccine alternatives
- very basic first aid for pets
Puppy training: - walking by owners side without pulling
- sit/stay/lie/wait on command
- come when called
- house manners

The learned behaviour patterns and habits formed in the pup's first year will last a lifetime, so it is certainly worth putting the time in to give her/him the best start. I use only positive reward based training.
price : £10 for 45 minutes session
