About Me/ Company

Working within the Plymouth area, Vicky's Dog Walking service can give your dog the chance to explore Dartmoor, forestry and even the beach.
This top quality dog walking and dog sitting service is fully insured. All dogs in Vicky’s care will wear a dog tag with her details on at all times and will only be let off the lead with written consent from you.

Whether you are at work all day and need your four legged friends exercised or planning a trip away and conventional kennels are too stressful, Vicky can help you. A safe home environment with a dog proof garden will offer your dog all the comfort
and care they will need whilst you’re away.

Regardless of your dog’s needs Vicky aims to offer a flexible service to accommodate you both.

Qualifications & Training

I am a 21 year old university student in my final year at University studying BSc Animal Behaviour and Welfare.
From a very young age I have always been a keen animal lover. Having always owned a dog I have had many
years’ experience in their training and care.
My passion for animals has guided me in my career. I am currently employed in a riding school where I work with 25 horses and young riders on a daily basis.
I have my own horse called Dominic, Timba a 6 year
old Labrador and Saffie a 3 year old Jack Russell. We spend a lot of time together exploring Dartmoor and the local forestry.
For the last few years I have been walking friend’s dogs and I have thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them and learning about their different characters.

Relevant Info

Vicky has known my dogs since they were puppies (Jess, Rufus and Frankie) and has always been calm and practical when asked advice on their development and problems. When the dogs go for a walk with Vicky (with or without her own dogs) they know they are going to have a great time and I know that they are going to be well cared for and that Vicky understands their needs - they are not an easy bunch to manage! My husband and I have often asked Vicky to 'dog-sit' and 'house-sit' and feel utterly confident in her skills and trustworthiness. I would recommend Vicky unreservedly to anybody looking for a fun yet reliable dog walker and/or capable house/dog sitter. If my dogs could talk - they would say the same!

Vicky is a really gifted dog trainer. She enjoys her work and really loves the dogs she works with. We are able to relax when we are away because we know Doris is happy to be with her. On a weekly basis Vicky trains and looks after Doris for one, two or three days. Doris gets good quality time and extended walks to enrich her life.

I would unreservedly recommend Vicky as someone to take care of your dog. She has frequently walked my boisterous 8 year old Cocker Spaniel. Carrying out my instructions to the letter not to let her off the lead. She makes her walk to heel when required and has advised me on the substitution of the lead for a harness which is a great improvement.
She is careful, firm and kind and Callie starts to hurl herself at the
door in excitement when she hears Vicky's car coming up the drive!
