About Me/ Company
I am a professional female in my 30's, looking for dogs that would like to be walked in relatively close proximity to my home, and dogs that would like to be looked after whilst their owners are away. I am happy to travel further a field for sitting services.
I have previously worked in office based jobs, and for the last 15 years this has been in supervisory and/or management positions.
12 months ago I resigned to enable me to retrain. I have recently registered self employed and am working to establish my business. This is a long term plan and in the meantime I am looking to supplement my income.
Development of my business will not interfere with any additional commitments as I can choose my own hours and can carry out my work 24 hours a day Monday to Friday, from anywhere with a broadband connection.
Taking care of dogs appeals to me not only because of my love for them but because I now work from home and this will give me the opportunity to get out, get some fresh air, and get some exercise!
I don't have a dog of my own but this is simply because whilst I was in employment my working hours, and work travel requirements, meant that I was not able to make the necessary commitment required to properly look after a dog, or any pet.
Previous Experience
Previously I have looked after pets (usually dogs) for friends and family. This is something I have been doing for around 20 years.
This would typically involve staying in their homes whilst they are away, for short or longer breaks. It is usually easier for all concerned for me to stay in their homes not least because it may also involve looking after their children (for shorter and/or business trips).
Also, my family are spread out around the country and so dog sitting whilst they are away has allowed me to take a break form work, catch up with them before and after their trip, and explore some different places.
I am happy with small and larger dogs. At home, my parents have tended to have German Shepard's.
Qualifications & Training
No formal qualifications, but plenty experience as above.
Relevant Info
I am based in Cheshire, but am happy to travel to the destinations specified for holiday care.
