Here at 'Unleashed' South Norwood we love every animal big or small and we want people to be able to enjoy their pets and still be able to go on holiday or work full time

Unfortunately, many pets find kennels and catteries extremely stressful. Often they’re left in cages for long periods of time and they miss the love and cuddles they’re used to at home. Whether it’s for several days or several weeks, trusting a stranger with your pet’s care is never easy, this is why we offer affordable prices so pets can still enjoy life with and temporarily without their loving owners whilst being cared for by professionals who have worked with animals for over 15 years

We are lucky enough to be located in between South Norwood Lakes and South Norwood Country Park which is enjoyed by all the dogs that stay with us

Relevant Info

ALL animals boarded at 'Unleashed' MUST be up to date with all relevant vaccinations and MUST have been treated with ADVOCATE flea treatment. Proof of this will be required before we accept any animal and requested when any booking is made.
DOGS : Parvovirus, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis and Distemper. Many dogs receive these vaccinations as puppies and then further booster vaccinations throughout their lives. Some vaccinations need annual boosters others have a three-year life. You should check with your vet when your dog's boosters are due. If your dog has not been vaccinated before, then they cannot be boarded until 7-14 days after vaccination.
CATS : Different combinations of vaccinations are available for cats, so you will need to check with your vet what diseases your cat is protected against. Most vaccine combinations protect against Cat Flu (Feline Herpes and Feline Calicivirus) and Feline Infectious Enteritis (Feline Panleucopenia). Your cat may also be protected against Chlamydia and Feline Leukaemia Virus (FeLV), otherwise you can arrange these vaccinations separately. A vaccination is also available for Bordetella Bronchiseptica another respiratory infection. All vaccinations require annual boosters and cats should not be boarded until two weeks after vaccination.
RABBITS : Rabbits should be vaccinated routinely, but particularly before boarding, against Myxomatosis and Viral Haemorrhagic Disease (VHD). The two vaccinations should be given at least two weeks apart, with the last vaccine at least two weeks prior to boarding. The Myxomatosis requires six monthly boosters and VHD annual boosters.

Doggie Day Care

Day Care is open & available at Unleashed South Norwood

Monday-Thursday 7am-7pm Friday 7am-6pm
Saturday & Sunday 10am-5pm
Bank Holidays 10am-5pm

Day care must be booked in advance as due to needs of individual dogs & boarders we only allow certain numbers per day

We are flexible to suit your needs & are happy to keep your dog with us earlier/later than the day care hours (Having a drink after work? Something booked a little later at the weekend?) This will have to be agreed in advance & will be charged at the boarding rate & not the day care rate

All day care doggies MUST be spayed/neutered

We love like our own all the furbabies that come and stay with us Every animal has different needs and we tailor our service to make their stay a home from home experience
Different sized indoor and outdoor pens, runs, houses & hutches are available for our smaller boarders

Here at Unleashed we have everything available : bed bowls bottles cages crates & toys
(We only use 'Kong' dog toys due to their great design & durabilty)
We provide food for rabbits (Burgess Excel nuggets) & fresh vegetables for our small boarders only, which is included in the price of their stay
(Other dietary requirements & meals will have to be provided)

Pet Sitting

Pet Sitting Visits : £10-15 per visit

Some animals prefer to stay at home as some things, such as a temporary change in environment can affect them negativly, cats especially.
We can visit your pet in your home to make sure they are fed, watered, cleaned & cuddled as they would be if you were there with them.
(Our 'live in' service sadly is now unavailable.)
We are not uniformed when providing this service for security reasons & can also collect post, milk, turn off/on lights & empty bins etc if needed while we are visiting your pet

Regular email updates & pictures of your pets sent to you whilst you are away

Whilst we do try to accommodate cats under certain circumstances we are not a cattery.
However as we are avid cat lovers here we are able to foster cats. Due to the ever increasing homeless cat population that we tackle daily & the amount of 'unrehomeables' we take in here it is not always possible but please do contact us regarding you cat & we will do our best to help
