About Me/ Company

I am a passionate animal lover who absolutely adores dogs! I live adjacent to and overlooking one of Northampton's largest open green parks, The Racecourse, which is the perfect place to take dogs for an energetic walk/run! I've wanted to own my own dog for the longest time as I've missed the companionship and fun they bring, but due to me renting my current property this has not been possible because of tenancy rules. I also have been wanting to get more active again recently, going on long walks and runs in the evenings to get fit, however finding the motivation to keep this up has been difficult. I figured I could kill two birds with one stone, and once again offer a dog walking service that would provide me the motivation I need to keep active, as well as allow me the opportunity to spend time with dogs again without the worry of disrupting my tenancy agreement. I work as a professional research chemist in the week, however most weekends and evenings are spent alone and bored. As such I have a lot of free time, and I'd love it if I could start spending that time exercising as well as making new furry friends in the area!

Previous Experience

I had two dogs growing up, (a Cocker Spaniel called Flopsy and a stocky little Staffordshire Bull Terrier called Luna), and I used to take them out for 1-2 hour walks several times a week as a teenager. When I moved out of my mum's house I stayed with a family who also owned an energetic Spaniel called Joe, and they allowed me to walk her when I asked. When I went to university I also offered a local dog walking/sitting service which helped earn me some pocket money whilst studying. This gave me lots of experience walking from big (Burnese Mountain Dog!) to small (Yorkshire Terrier) dogs, and I now feel very confident walking any shape/size of mutt safely, responsibly and enjoyably!
