About Me/ Company
I’m Sarah, mum to two miniature dachshunds, Frank and Lincoln, and wife to one. I’ve been a dog owner for several years and, like many other pet owners, treat my boys better than I do any of my other family members. After becoming disheartened as I left them each morning to go to work, I decided to leave my job as a Speech Therapy Assistant and do something which meant I could spend more time not only with my own babies, but other people’s pets as well!
And this is how The Transpawter was developed. This is a new business, located in Kirkby in Ashfield, offering services in the surrounding areas. We offer group and individual dog walks, varying from half an hour to an hour, as well as pet sitting and pet transport.
The vehicle I use is a Peugeot Partner which has been adapted to fit individual crates so that the dogs always travel in their own safe space. It is also equipped with a ramp for accessibility, air conditioning, and a first aid kit is always present in case of emergencies.
My walks take place in various locations including, but not limited to, Brierley Forest, Teversal, Thieves Wood, Blidworth Wood, Newstead Abbey and Rufford Park, meaning your dog will always have some amazing scenery to look at whilst they’re out and about.
Previous Experience
I am extremely comfortable and confident around a variety of animals and have particular experience with nervous dogs as my own dog Lincoln was a rescue who unfortunately has issues because of his previous owners. I am also trained in pet first aid so am competent to deal with an emergency should something happen to your pet whilst in my care.
