About Me/ Company

The Highland Hounds is a dog walking service based at Polkemmet Country Park, West Lothian. We provide local walks and guided hillwalking for dogs!

My name is Graham and I've started this business to offer dogs the opportunity to break up the daily routine and offer half and full days climbing Scottish mountains as well as shorter local walks!

I own my own van to transport dogs and I'm fully insured, I've passed my canine first aid and also the DBS check!

Previous Experience

I have been hillwalking/hiking for 3 years now! In that time I've completed 50+ munros (almost all of which with my dogs), I've completed the West Highland Way and camped the entire distance with one of my dogs Sheeba and I've also climbed Gran Paradiso (the highest mountain in Italy), but unfortunately that was a dogless expedition. I myself own two rescue dogs and I've been working with them for a number of years to have them well trained and socialised! I've also completed training in Torridon for Mixed Mountaineering as well as training in the Alps, so I can assure you that your dogs are in very safe hands!
