About Me/ Company

The Fairy Dogmother - is a trading name of Edith Reyntiens, who also operates as My Dog Walks and My Dog Stays. I am a freelance artist and walk dogs in addition as I love dogs and I love being outdoors. Any dogs who come to me for respite care or daily walks would enjoy my home with me and my mixed breed, Betsy, who is coming up for 10 and who has been with me since she was a puppy.

Previous Experience

I have owned dogs all my life, and have had my current Lurcher Betsy for the last 10 years since she was a puppy. From 2014 to 2016 I was living in Saudi Arabia, (Betsy was cared for at home by my son during this time), I helped to rescue feral Saudi dogs to save them from certain death in the desert and helped re-home them in the USA and Canada. I love dogs and believe in positive forms of training and discipline.
I discipline from a reward perspective, so that the dog works out for his/her self what is the right thing to do. We go for walks all around the town of Dumfries where I live and will sometime go out to the beach or to the woods.
I am a responsible key holder and have a current DBS certificate. I am also familiar with medicating dogs and looking after elderly dogs, as my previous dog was 15 when I lost him due to kidney disease. I can supply references on request.
