Are you too busy to walk the dog or need a day off to get something done? We can collect your dog and drop off, operating to Government Guidance for animal care during Covid.

Thedoghousebucks, est. 15 years, is fully vetted and licensed, rated 5 Stars by Bucks Chiltern Council, we offer a ‘home from home’ for dogs. Two of us full time, so always the same people with your dog.

Prices from £15 for a dog walk to £25 for dog day care - £35 per 24 hour home boarding. Plus extras: £5 to pick up and or drop off and for groomer runs.

Previous Experience

Growing up surrounded by an assortment of family dogs, they became a passion; writing a regular dog care blog, I'm an advocate for canine companions.

I have over 15 years of experience dog minding assisted by my husband, Tony. Fully vetted, licensed and rated as 5-star for dog minding by Buckinghamshire Chiltern Council, rest assured that your much-loved canine companion is in good safe hands. We don't have our own dogs but love all as if our own - I have the best job!

The 5-star rating for Licensed Dog Minders is not the same as a hotel or B&B accommodation rating, but instead refers to the quality of facilities, care and safety for the dogs. For instance, a licensed dog minder must have a certain amount of space per dog, and a secure hazard-free garden free of cages and runs. We keep up to date with Government guidance although this not very comprehensive and may be subject to change. The Blue Guidance is worth a read for owners to know what precautions to take against Covid during dog care by 3rd parties. This involves the usual precautions for social distancing though not from dogs!

During this pandemic, dog boarding at The Dog House Bucks dog offers an affordable alternative to owners who would normally seek a pet sitter to dog mind in their own home with our dog day care, dog boarding, and dog walking. We also offer dog extras such as runs to the groomers and pick up and drop off for walks.

We recognise that our clients will want to be reassured about sanitation. The Government currently states that there is currently no proof that dogs/pets transmit Covid virus to humans. However, it does recommend wiping the dog down between contact and houses.

We clean your dog, its lead and collar with eco non-toxic dog-friendly antiviral wet wipes on arrival and departure to ours, and prior to entering your home if dropping off.

We regularly sanitise our hands and our vehicles before and after dog collection and drop-offs.
