About Me/ Company

The Dog Fairy is based in West London. I am a 33 year old woman that has been working as an Executive PA for over 10 years.

After being made redundant, i decided to take the big step and run my own business and work within a field that i have always wanted to. I have always owned dogs and feel that i have a natural affinity with all animals, but especially with dogs.

I spent a year studying various courses, consisting of the following:

- Dog Grooming
- Dog Walking
- Dog/Puppy Training
- Canine Behaviour and Psychology

Then, The Dog Fairy was born!

Previous Experience

I have been and am currently volunteering at The Dogs Trust in Harefield. This voluntary role consists predominately of dog walking but because of my love of dogs, enjoy grooming, socialising, cleaning out of the kennels, feeding the dogs and giving comfort to all of the dogs i come in to contact with. I love this hands on role that gives the chance to make a big difference to the lives of the dogs there.

Over the past couple of years, i have worked very closely with dogs that have had certain behaviour issues. After working alongside the owners, i have supported them in becoming strong leaders. This has enabled their dogs to become calm and submissive, happy and balanced dogs.

I have spend lots of time with different breeds of dogs with different behaviour traits and characteristics. I have specifically worked with Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Pugs, Springer Spaniels and Bulldogs. Dogs absolutely love being groomed and i use certain massage techniques that not only help the mental wellbeing of the dogs but also the physical, especially after surgery or a distressing situation.

I am competent and confident in using holistic and positive reinforcement techniques, that i have not only learned but become aware of after my study of dogs generally.
