THE COMPANY
Based in Barrhead, Glasgow, providing fully insured Dog Walking, Pet Home Visits and Home from Home Dog Boarding and Dog Daycare.
Our Dog Walking Service provides 1 hour group walks and by special arrangement can also provide solo walks.
Our Home Boarding Service offers home from home boarding for your dog and whilst in our care your dog will become part of the family - living and sleeping indoors with our cockapoo Angus and joining us on walks and fun during the day. Our Day Care Service offers your dog a home from home during the day. Dogs can be dropped off from 7am onwards and picked up by 6pm.
Our Pet Home Visit Service offers a visit to your home - be it a cat, dog, hamster or fish - whether they need feeding, medication, some fresh air, or simply some company - Taylor Made Pet Home Visits are individually tailored to meet the needs of your pet.
ABOUT ME
My name is Andy Taylor and I live in Barrhead with my wife Anna and our lively cockapoo, Angus.
In 2011 I retired from the Army, having served 24 years with the Royal Engineers. My plan, as the end of my service approached, was to step out of the Army and straight into a Health and Safety role, either in the UK or Abroad....but what they say of the best laid plans is certainly true, and following a back injury whilst still serving I spent most of my early retirement in agony on my living-room floor - unable to walk properly, nevermind take on any sort of employment.
Anna was working full time and as time went on the long hours alone became harder to cope with. In her infinite wisdom Anna decided that I needed a companion, and in March 2012 our gorgeous chocolate cockapoo boy, Angus, entered our life..... A true tonic indeed.
Since then I have undergone a successful operation on my back and Angus has been at my side during my rehabilitation - accompanying me on short walks, and as he has grown, and my mobility improved, on longer daily walks in the
Barrhead, Neilston and surrounding areas.
It was during my time on the floor, and out on walks with Angus, that the idea of dog walking began to grow
on me. On my walks I often spoke to other dog walkers, who like myself share a love of dogs and the outdoors
and I soon realised that it was the perfect career choice for me - hence the birth of Taylor Made Dog Walking.
Since that time my fitness has improved to such an extent that in addition to the dog walking I have been able to start my own Fitness Bootcamp - Taylor Made Bootcamp - held in Neilston three times a week.

Taylor Made Dog Walking is fully insured I am trained in Canine First Aid. In addition I am security vetted and have been disclosure checked through Disclosure Scotland.

PET HOME VISIT - For all pets including dogs, cats, fish and hamsters etc.
Please phone or email to discuss your needs - price is dependent on your location and the time spent with your pet. As a guide a one off visit is generally in the region of 20 Minutes and costs around £7 depending on travel distance. Discounts are available for multiple visits so this service is also ideal if you are going away for a weekend or a week or two.
