About Me/ Company
Hi - We are a married couple (been married for 28 years) with an enormous love for dogs! We have had our own family pet for 16 years, we miss her terribly....our three children are all grown up now and have left/nearly left home, giving us time now to devote to pet and house sitting!
Lizzie has grown up around dogs all her life, she loves all breeds, mongrels, large or small....she is great with shy pets and being a Reiki Master she has found that dogs LOVE Reiki....especially ones who are missing their mum and dad!
Wayne has a Pet Emergency First Aid certificate and spent all of his childhood with a horse and a dog with an amazing field to run around with them! We both have full DBS clearance.
We recently spent 3 months in Tenerife spending time working at the Dog Shelters, volunteering our time there. Taking as many of the dogs as we could, for walks and giving them lots of love and attention and treats!
Our dream is to run an international Pet Sitting service where we can care for peoples pets and dogs whilst travelling in our MotorHome.....we can stay and play!! UK or away.....

Previous Experience
As a couple we have a combined history of over 50 years of dog experience (and other animals too) we are excited about using all of our knowledge, experience, kindness and abilities to care for your dogs.
We have been resident caretakers of our church for 28 years, so we know a thing or two about responsibilities and duties!!
We were really lucky to be able to travel around Tenerife for 3 months and enjoyed spending time with many, many dogs at the shelters there, we had heaps of fun volunteering our time and energy with a huge variety of dogs! Exhausting in that heat though!
We had our own beloved RSPCA rescue dog, Jodahy and we were priveliged to be her family for 16 years and we miss her terribly. Lizzie took part in fantastic RSPCA specialist training with a dog psychologist and Jodahy responded well to gentle, loving, but firm kindness and she was a wonderful member of our family.
We would love the opportunity to care for your beloved dog, whilst you enjoy your time away, whether it be through work or a family trip or holiday, you can relax, knowing that your dog is well cared for and as happy as they can be, whilst you are away.
Qualifications & Training
Wayne has a current First Aid Pet Emergency Certificate. We both have DBS clearance.
Lizzie has worked with Disabled people and their pets for many years as a Personal Assistant. Using her knowledge of equality, advocacy and person-centred training to support people to live their Best Lives. She has a BSL Level 2 qualification.
Lizzie is also a Reiki Master and is happy to offer this for your pet. It is a wonderful calming and healing energy and works wonders, especially with distressed, shy and anxious animals. Our own dog suffered with separation anxiety when we were both away, so we do understand how distressing this can be and aim to help your dog through this anxious time. Lizzie has also used homoeopathy for 26 years, it is great for pets and we are happy to offer this service too, just ask.
We both have heaps of love and respect for all animals that we care for and encounter, but especially dogs!
Lizzie lived on a small-holding spending hours with their many farm animals - including a pet pig called Posy, three goats, a cow, donkey, geese, chickens, a very stubborn cockerel and several ducks - a very busy household! Oh....and four cats and two dogs too!
Relevant Info
We have been church members and caretakers for over 30 years. We are still young enough and fit enough to enjoy taking care of your pets, giving them lots of love, heaps of patience, some healing hands if needed. We are happy to give you daily updates on how they are doing.....through skype or phone calls. We are happy to facilitate your chats with your beloved pets, we know what its like to have to leave a pet at home whilst you're away.....they are so precious aren't they?
Our own dog, Jodahy, needed lots of extra special care as she got older. She became both hearing impaired and visually impaired. She had survived a spleen tumour and removal and then survived skin cancer too! She needed lots and lots of TLC and in her last year, we all slowed down our pace of life to suit her needs....she went EVERYWHERE with us in our camper van.
You can be reassured that we will be there for you and your beloved dog too! We will offer them lots of love and reassurance, plenty of fresh air and lovely walks. We can follow their daily routines, special diets and schedules, keeping them company, occupied, cuddled, busy, calm - you tell us what they love and we will do our best to keep you and them happy.
We can offer extra too for longer stays (subject to internet availability)..... we are pleased to be able to offer you updates on how they are doing, a photo, snapchat, video or even skype!! We know how much they are missed and loved whilst you're away! You deserve a wonderful holiday and knowing that your dog is in safe hands, showing you their waggy tail is a wonderful way to put your mind at rest.
Other Services
We are happy to house sit for you whilst you are away from home and are available throughout the year. You decide when and where and what your requirements are. We can take care of all of your pets and your home too, if required. Ensuring the safety of your home whilst you are away, will give you peace of mind to really enjoy your holiday/stay away.
Alternatively, we can offer a service where we stay nearby in our Mobile Home and keep a watchful eye on your property. Watering plants, removing mail from doorstep and also taking care of your pets too in their own home.
We have over 28 years of experience of being church caretakers. Trustworthy, honest and reliable.
