About Me/ Company

I am a retired Civil Servant, I worked for the Ministry of Defence for 25 years. Since retiring I have spent a year walking friends' dogs and have really enjoyed it. I have always adored dogs and can't have my own because I have 2 very spoilt cats and they wouldn't react well if I introduced a dog to their home! Now I want to continue walking dogs and as I need to earn a bit of extra cash, a Dog Walking job would be my dream job.

Previous Experience

I have grown up around dogs and whilst I wasn't allowed my own dog I was always out walking friends' and relatives' dogs. In the last year I have walked 5 different dogs for two friends, not for money but because I wanted to have dogs in my life. Whilst I am experienced walking large dogs as well as medium and smaller dogs, now I feel I want to stick to medium and/or smaller dogs. I am flexible and reliable and will work around the needs of the Owner as far as possible.

Qualifications & Training

My qualifications are not in dog care but I do think that an empathy with people (Counselling) can often mean an empathy with animals too

I am dying to be with your dogs, I find them therapeutic and they help motivate me to take loads of exercise which without dogs for me isn't much fun. I would much rather be outside with animals that I love and not stuck in a gym half bored to death!

Other Services

I am also a trained Counsellor specialising in many areas so if required I could offer that help in that area but obviously the payscale would be different

I will gladly groom dogs, walk them, pet sit (at Owner's home, I would take animals to training classes paid for by the Owner obviously
