About Me/ Company

Hi, my name is Stacey. I am 21 years old and have a great love of dogs. I am not part of a company and am self employed so the services I offer can be suited to what each individual customer needs. I am a very kind, calm and caring person and feel that this all fits with working with dogs. I am a passionate dog lover and I know how people feel about their pets and how they are more than just a pet, they are a much loved member of the family. So this is the level I strive for when caring for other peoples dogs as I treat them as if they were my own.

Previous Experience

The most relevant dog care experience I have is that I have been a volunteer for the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association since November 2012. So I have experience in all round dog care, such as feeding, grooming and exercising and also basic dog training.
Since the age of 14 I have worked with dogs. Starting with being a volunteer for the Retired Greyhound Trust. I have also undertaken over 2 years work experience in a veterinary practice so I am capable of caring for dogs with medical problems. My old dog who I sadly no longer have was a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with a whole list of medical problems and he required medication throughout the day so I am used to caring for dogs with more specialised needs.
I have also done various volunteer work in dog rescue kennels so I am used to dogs of various breeds, ages and temperaments.

Qualifications & Training

I have completed a Level 3 extended diploma in animal management which detailed all the care necessary for all animal species. Whenever possible I specialised my studies in dogs. I have studied canine evolution, behaviour, nutrition, exercise requirements, dog handling and training, animal biology, animal welfare and general animal husbandry.
