About Me/ Company

Hello, my name is Sophie Wilmot and I am 19 years old. From a very young age I've had a keen interest in animal welfare. Throughout my life I have owned many different animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, budgies, fish and many more. I currently own a 10 year old Jack Russell who has recently developed a selective intolerance to some other dogs hence my reluctence to bring another dog into my home. On consulting with my vet over recent changes in my dogs temperament he ensures me this is simply due to age and a common occurrence in Terriers particularly that of Jack Russell's. However, I am more than happy to care for clients animals within their home environments. This includes taking them for walks or days out or looking after them whilst the clients away on holiday. I have my own car, so am happy to transport any animals anywhere on the Isle of Wight.

Previous Experience

I am currently a volunteer at the RSPCA in Godshill every tuesday morning where I am responsible for looking after and cleaning out the rabbits. I enjoy my job there very much as I am very fond of animals and it gives me a great sense of satisfaction to see them all cleaned out and well cared for and having the opportunity to give them a good fuss!
I have also had some work experience at Orchard Veterinary Surgery whilst still at school.

Qualifications & Training

I have no relevant qualifications but have a life time experience caring for animals as mentioned above. However, I do have academic qualifications including 9 GCSE's and 3 A-Levels.
