About Me/ Company

Hello, my name is Sadie. I have owned Shelties for most of my life. They are an intelligent and sensitive breed and need patient and caring handling to bring out the best in them.
I love spending time with my dogs just having fun playing, training and going out on a variety of walks in this lovely area. We are so lucky to have the coast, heathland and woodlands Dog's get so much pleasure from their walks.
Following redundancy, I cut down hours in my new job to 10 hours a week so I could have more time with my dogs and turn my passion into caring for others dogs as well as my own.
I am DBS checked and fully insured.
I am available Monday to Sundays to walk or dog sit for you.
I live on a 1/4 plot so often set up weave poles, tunnels, mats etc for fun activity times with my dogs too.

Previous Experience

You need sensitivity and patience to train any dog, but particularly Shelties, as they are a very intelligent breed but can become nervous and un-confident with harsh handling. Both my boys are confident and fun-loving and I feel I have brought out the best in both of them, despite them having different personalities. It's so rewarding to see the pleasure on their faces and their excitement when they've picked up a new trick. Mine are both real foodies to so get their rewards of cooked meats or cheese is a real bonus to them too.
I feel I have a natural ability to adapt to the personality of each dog.

Qualifications & Training

I have gained the Kennel Good Citizen Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards and my oldest Sheltie qualified for the Crufts Obreedience Obedience Team as well as reaching Class B in Competitive Obedience, doing things such as finding my scent on a cloth out of 6 cloths etc.
I believe all dogs can benefit from some fun training as well as physical exercise and believe they rest better during their down time because of this.

Relevant Info

I would be happy to walk dogs on their own or as part of a group. For young dogs/puppies I feel that one to one is often best initially for full attention on them.
