About Me/ Company

Since moving to Mauritius when I was 13years old,my mum and I have been involved in rescuing stray dogs from around the Island.Currently we have 5 dogs and 5 cats who all live in harmony. I have a passion for all animals but I found raising our dogs brought me a lot of calmness,joy,laughter,fun and energy. We raised them from when they were barely weeks old to raising fully-grown adults. Some were in worse condition than others but I found that by giving them the care,attention and love they deserve,our dogs always grew to be fit,healthy and happy. Now I am back in the UK far from home,I miss my dogs dearly and miss the company of a dog. As I am embarking on a course in Animal Behaviour and Welfare this September and have moved house several times, I am waiting till I have become a qualified zoologist and have a house with a big garden before I make the commitment of adopting a dog. In the meantime, I have lots of time,space and availability to devote myself to caring for dogs on a temporary basis.

Previous Experience

I was born in Glasgow. Whilst growing up I would take my neighbour's dog for walks as she was quite elderly and couldn't get around that easy.

In Mauritius, I helped in raising stray dogs. If they were puppies my mother and I would syringe feed them and when they were old enough we would have them neutered. It was my job to take 5 dogs walking twice a day! As exhausting as it was,it filled my days with joy as we would go on longs walks in fields,beaches and near mountains.The dogs loved every minute of it as did I. I was also part of an organisation called PAWS in Mauritius. PAWS was designed to help the stray dog situation in Mauritius by going around the island educating dog owners on how to look after their pet.

Qualifications & Training

I will be attending a foundation degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare at Oxford Brookes University this September.

I hold a BAhons degree in Perfoming Arts:Media,Communication and Culture and also a pass in an access course to Youth Community and Social Work.
