About Me/ Company

Hi! I’m Sarah, owner and manager of Scallywags, where we pride ourselves on our professional, experienced and reliable service delivered with a flexible, personalised and down-to-earth approach.

We offer dog walking with others in a group or, if your pup is not too comfortable with other dogs, we can walk him individually. Sometimes, it just takes a little bit of time and patience to help your dog build up his confidence around others, and we can help with that too.

Before their first group walk, your dog will be carefully introduced to the others in the group. We walk a maximum of four dogs plus Savannah, our 'class monitor'. We offer on or off-lead walks (with your agreement of course), though all new Scallywags dogs are tested on an extender lead first for recall ... just to be sure!

Here in Tandridge district we're blessed with many fields and woodland areas, so all Scallywags dogs will be walked on a variety of routes to exercise and stimulate their senses. From playing fetch on Holland Recreation Ground to sniffing through the undergrowth in Limpsfield Chart, your dog will soon learn to love his walkies-time with us.

We are experienced with all kinds of breeds, in all shapes and sizes. We believe in a firm hand based on mutual trust and respect, whilst making sure each dog is showered with praise, love and attention.

Previous Experience

I've been an animal lover from an early age and grew up with pets as part of the family (dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, budgies, coldwater and tropical fish, and even an ‘adopted’ pigeon!)

After a varied and fulfilling career in London and the North West, I decided that I wanted to follow my heart and passion – working with animals. My experience spans across a lifetime of owning pets, volunteer work at the Mayhew Animal Home and South Godstone RSPCA, and then working full-time with a pet care company.

I have launched Scallywags based on the principles of a heart-centred business, bringing my own personal values into the ethics and strategy of the pet care services we provide.

For your peace of mind we’re fully insured, CRB-checked, qualified (Dog Walking and Pet Home Sitting Professional Diploma) and a member of the National Association of Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers (NarpsUK).

Other Services

We offer a variety of services catering for all kinds of pets – from dogs and cats, to small furries, chickens and even exotic marine fish and corals.

In addition to dog walking, we presently offer:
* Cat & small animal feeding – daily or twice daily visits to provide fresh food and water, clean bedding and litter and plenty of play and attention.
* Pet taxi – with a specially-fitted van for carrying dogs or animal crates and cages, we can take your pet to the vets, groomers or wherever you need them to be.
* Basic grooming – basic dog and cat grooming: brushing and de-matting, in-home dog baths and claw clipping.

We have big plans for Scallywags with many more services in development for the future, including doggy day care, puppy training and Tellington Ttouch/animal reiki.
