About Me/ Company
Hi I'm Sarah Holmes 26 & I'm trying to set up my own business in the dog walking category. I enjoy animals, I have 2 dogs of my own & we go on long walks to the beach or country side, very sociable with other dogs & I sometimes bring them along on my dog walks for my clients to experience that their dog can socialise with other dogs.
I'm very willing to make a difference for dogs or their owners, I'm very patient, loyal, trust worthy & have access to my clients homes (keys). I have 3 clients already which are regular & enjoy my service I provide.
I want to push my career forward but I can only do this if I have enough clients coming forward. I'm very active so whatever breed you have I don't hesitate or I'm not afraid, it's all about the dogs needs & also making sure clients understand my belief in making a change for what's right for their dog. I haven't had training or done any it's just a self-taught dog training that I've done over the years of growing up with animals, or doing my homework or speaking to dog owners etc.
What you have to think about its all about a dogs life i.e. While working with a dog, I often use vocal marks (tsch or tsst), gestures, and body language to communicate with dogs rather than speech or the dog's name, which can excite the dog or which can result in a less powerful delivery because dogs sense a person's energy more easily than their speech. I encourages owners to create their own unique sound that works for them, dogs have three primary needs: exercise, discipline and affection — in that order. In other words, it is the owner's responsibility to fulfill the dog's energy level through challenging exercise, then to provide clearly communicated rules, boundaries and limitations and finally, to provide affection. A common pitfall for dog owners is to give a great deal of affection with very little discipline and even less exercise. I encourages owners to understand the effect their own attitudes, internal emotions and physical postures have on a dog's behavior, counseling owners to hold strong posture (i.e. shoulders high and chest forward) and to project energy that is calm-assertive.
I hope you enjoyed reading my little blog & I hope to hear from you & your fury friend soon.
Kind regards
Sarah.
