I grew up in a household that had cats and dogs. Cats are lovely but are not that easy to take for a walk! Although I am happy to look after cats too. Is nice to be able to take a dog into the park or on the beach and watch them just have fun, or play with a toy or other dogs.
I live in Enfield, North London, so can cover most of London on public transport, but am happy to drive if parking is easily accessible, can also travel to south Essex, south Hertfordshire, and North East Kent. Happy to travel further afield for overnight or longer stays at owners homes. I have a full clean driving licence, a current Enhanced DBS which I am happy to produce, and is available to view online, and can provide written references.
Previous Experience
As stated previously I grew up with dogs and cats. I have experience with Boxers, Pomerains, Northern Innuit, Husky, Jack Russell and Bichon Frise. My most recent dog was a Rottweiller xbreed who was just a little on the soppy side. One of her favourite haunts on a local walk was the beauty parlour, apparently some of their products smelt quite good, and the owners and clientele were quite used to her wandering in! Have stayed in homes overnight and longer, to dog sit, and offered help with obedience training with a Bichon Frise, who was a bit of a handful but we were able to get him into a lovely friendly little dog, rather than the handful! The boxers I had growing up were trained by my father to do assit with the police, and I was the only person, other than the owner, to be able to stroke and play with a rather scary police dog called Bruce. As a 5-year old he seemed as big as me!
Other Services
I am happy to do overnight or longer stays at an owners home, especially as some dogs can get rather anxious if their owners are away and they are in a strange environment, without their familiar routines.
I am happy to offer the same level of service to people who have just cats, although they may not want the walking service, or have both cats and dogs.
Will feed fish, but not spiders or snakes, sorry.
