About Me/ Company
I am 17 years old and currently studying my A Levels at college. I am very eager to start part time work, and I am particularly interested in dog walking. I feel this sector would provide me with essential life skills and build my personality and confidence. I am very punctual and responsible. I love dogs and have one of my own, but have had 3 more when I was younger. I also love meeting and seeing my friends/families dogs.
I recently attended a servant leadership course and this improved my communication skills. It made me aware of the vital skills needed to work effectively in a team, how to listen to others and accept their criticisms, and how to communicate well while avoiding conflict.
I can ask for help when need be, in order to complete a given task. I would ask fellow employees when I was first starting on the job and use this to work effectively in the future.
I attend martial arts sessions on a weekly basis and this has enabled me to work well with others, ask for their help if I went wrong and work together as a team to perform well.
I would like to work a maximum of 14 hours per week, because I attend sixth form college and will be starting my A2 studies, I will still have to complete homework and do the necessary revision. So I feel 14 hours a week or less would still provide important work experience. I would like to work weekends and some evenings, but I would be available to work during school holidays. I hope I am one that will be considered for this job.
Previous Experience
I have had no professional experience in dog walking but I have walked my own dog many, many times on a big park close to where I live. I have also assisted other peoples dogs and walked them when need be. My family are getting another puppy so I will be experienced with younger dogs and I will be successful in walking her when she is old enough.
