About Me/ Company

Rovers Return has been open since February this year. I have a dedicated dog suite to the rear of my home and a spacious garden to play in.

Dogs are supervised all day and are encouraged to play with toys and take part in enrichment activities such as digging in a sand pit. I take small and medium sized, friendly, well socialised doggies over the age of 6 months and maximum group size is 5 per day.

Dogs are group walked to local parks every day and I prefer to have dogs that I am able to let off to run around in a secure area because I am disabled and unable to take them for long lead walks.

I do not have my own pets or children but dogs will get the opportunity to meet other members of my family and friends for lots of attention and play time.

The centre is open 7.30am - 6pm, Monday to Friday, however I am flexible upon request.

Previous Experience

I have always owned my own dogs, my last dog was a large Staffordshire Bull Terrier who passed away in September 2013. My husband and I decided not to have a resident dog whilst I am running a day care centre in case of jealousy issues.

Qualifications & Training

I have over 30 years experience as a dog owner and intend to take relevant courses in the near future.

I do a lot of research into dog behaviour and training and follow the CWAC code of practice for licensed dog day care services.

I adhere strictly to health and safety guidelines and have a dog first aid kit, fire safety equipment and a smoke alarm.

Relevant Info

I require owners to complete registration with a contract plus evidence of up-to-date vaccination boosters including kennel cough. I have a 5 day settling in period to ensure that we are all happy with dog day care and each other.

I only use dog friendly cleaning supplies and a steam cleaner. Bedding is regularly washed and the centre is regularly treated for flea prevention.

Other Services

Dogs who are well-settled in my care may be eligible for overnight stays at £20 per 24 hours.

Your dog would stay in our home as a member of the family and would never be left alone so they would need to be comfortable in a car.

Dogs can be fed or medicated with tablets, ointments or drops on request.
