About Me/ Company
I work from home as a writer. I have my own dog, a lazy boxer cross (neutered male). I have been a pet owner for most of my life and love dogs.
I like to take a long walk with my dog up the mountain every other day, which is all he seems capable of. The rest of the time, I live in a lovely area, with a big playing field and mountain walks at the back of my home. There are lots of friendly dogs and dog owners in this area, so dogs who stay with me always get a good run around.
I walk my own dog four times a day: morning, lunch time, early evening and last thing at night, before bed. Any dog that stays with me gets that routine too, unless the owner has another routine for their dog.
The dogs who come to my home have a garden to mooch about in that is entirely secure and they have the run of downstairs, are allowed on the couch and have a selection of beds to lie on.
I have a questionnaire for all of my clients about their dogs, so that I understand the dog's particular temperament and requirements. This covers details such as: vet details, conditions and medication, walking habits, eating habits, how they are with other creatures and people, etc. I treat the job professionally!
When a dog is holidaying with me and an entire male, I like my dog to meet them initially, as you never can tell if they will get on with an entire dog's dominance behaviour. Mostly he is fine and a very tolerant soul! It is rare there is an issue; this tends to be huskies and similar breeds, which he has an issue with.

Previous Experience
I have provided a holiday home for a Barking Mad franchise owner in Monmouth. Ownership of that business has now passed to a new franchisee, whom I am about to meet.
I have had or looked after my own or other peoples' dogs for most of my life.
As I work from home, I get a lot of requests from local people who need to work long hours or go away for a while.
