About Me/ Company

A little about myself..
Mum would often find someone's cat in my bedroom when I was very young, I convinced myself they were lost or unloved but they were in fact always someone pets !!!!.
At the age of 15 I was sat on the bus wondering what I wanted to do when I was older, it was then I saw a lady with her Guide Dog, a collie, I new at that moment I would work with animals and in particular Guide Dogs. I was employed with them as a kennel girl at the age of 17. Myself and Timmy the Labrador left home and moved 30 miles away. I then went on to become a trainer and Instructor and went on to train that very same lady with her 4th Guide Dog, Timmy passed in that time and I got my first true love Cracker an 8 wk old red and white Boxer and she taught me so much, she was crazy and full on and held my heart for a long long time. Some 23 years later, a few hundred more dogs and a couple of qualifications !!!! I moved to France and worked for Guide Dogs in Toulouse for a short period but I missed the UK and returned with Copper Spaniel, Tess Whippet (who went with us to France) and Mac who stole my heart whilst looking around a French Rescue site. I then went on to work for Dogs for the Disabled....many years have passed and many dogs have taught me so much and forgiven my many mistakes. My passion is rescue, dogs, cats or anything that needs me as much as I need them. I am a considerate and kind trainer and love to be around people and animal. Pawsome is a new venture and is run by myself and my very good friend who also has many years experience of working at Dogs for the Disabled and many years of traveling Asia and working with street dogs. We offer home visits to care for all pets, dog walking, dog boarding, training, all places are limited at present but we will be fully operational in the new year.

Previous Experience

As above, qualified Guide Dog Instructor and Dogs for the Disabled Instructor, experience in agility, dog behaviour and training, numerous rescue dogs and cats over the years that have taught me more than any book I have ever read !!
