About Me/ Company

The first fully licensed and dedicated indoor dog daycare centre/crèche within Newcastle upon Tyne. We're less than 5 minutes from the A1, 5 minutes from the A69 and just over 5 minutes to the Metrocentre, so conveniently placed for both commuters and shoppers.

Over 1000sq ft of open play area, plus a separate quiet/chill out room with a sofa for a home from home experience or if your dog is crate trained they can have a nap in either a traditional or fabric crate.

Exercise, company and socialisation for your dog while you are at work, shopping or having a day out.

FREE Assessment Session to ensure that your dog is sociable & enjoys coming.

Our licensed doggy day care centre at Newburn Haugh offers a unique opportunity for your dogs. They can come and socialise with other friendly dogs in a safe, clean and secure play area. We will have a maximum of 20 dogs in the crèche at any one time. All dogs are taken for short toilet break walks throughout the day but get all of the exercise they need indoors, where it is safe and clean. Dogs are supervised at all times by our dedicated staff.

Please get in touch if you have any questions, need more information or want to book your free assessment session.

Previous Experience

Clare has had dogs for over 20 years and been involved with local rescues for most of that time and spends most weekends at some kind of doggy event helping to raise money for animal charities.
"I found myself needing day care after adopting Maggie and discovering she suffered from separation anxiety.
Separation anxiety affects a number of dogs and puppies, manifesting in various ways, including excessive barking, chewing things they shouldn't, leaving little accidents and annoying your neighbours.
I had to travel quite some way and found myself wishing there was a more conveniently placed day care centre for dogs.
Now there is, here at Paws to Play".

Sue has owned rescue dogs for the last 30 years and has had many challenges along the way. Her current rescue dog Molly, an English Setter from Ireland, has been the most challenging but certainly the most rewarding. Sue commented: "Molly had many issues when I adopted her but with time, training, socialisation and love she has turned into the perfect companion and I love her to bits". Since adopting Molly, she has become actively involved with fundraising and homechecking for local and national animal charities. She is looking forward to having the opportunity for Molly to make new friends at Paws to Play.

Qualifications & Training

Clare has a diploma in Canine Psychology and is trained and certified in Canine First Aid.

She is about to start training courses with ADTB (Academy of Dog Training and Behaviour) and once qualified we will be offering training classes as well as daycare.
