About Me/ Company

Hi, my name is Jo and I'm the owner of Paws-itivity (www.paws-itivity.co.uk).

I’ve been an animal lover all my life which has completely taken hold over the last 16 years. I have two dogs who are my best friends (when they don’t roll in fox poop!) Both of my dogs are always learning new things and train and compete at agility (we dream of Crufts one day).

Both of my dogs are 4 years old. One I have had since a puppy and the other I rescued from Holbrook Animal Rescue in Horsham. The team at Holbrook work tirelessly to rescue and rehome all types of animals. Please if you're considering a new best friend consider changing the life of an animal in need. You may not be able to change the world, but you can change the world of that animal.

I've now hung up the lead on the rat race and I'm following my dream to start up my own dog walking, training and pet sitting business. Dogs are my passion and I want to see as many happy dogs out there as possible. I've completed a Diploma in dog behaviour, I’m currently studying towards becoming a Kennel Club Accredited Instructor (KCAI) and I am an Agility Club Approved 1st Class Instructor. I strive to continue to learn as much about dogs as I can, with better understanding we can have amazing relationships with our oldest animal friends.

Although dogs do take my number one spot I have a great relationship with all our furry friends and throughout my life I’ve owned stick insects to horses and loved and cared for every one of them.

During my spare time I have I’m found out and about exploring with the dogs or I’m teaching them a new trick to keep them nice and active. Dogs are my life and they make me so happy that I cannot imagine a world without them.

Other Services

I offer both group (no more than 4 dogs) and 1-2-1 walks. When I take your dogs for a walk they will be looked after in every possible way and treated as one of my own. I am fully insured, and have a full/clean driving licence. I drive a converted van to ensure that your dog's journey is as comfortable as possible. So you can rest assured that your dog is happy. Walks are for 1 hour and I vary the location to keep the walks as interesting as possible for your dog.

*£10.00 Per dog

*£7.00 Additional dog from the same home

*£15.00 1-2-1 dog walk

My services cover Horsham and a radius of 3 miles which includes:

Broadbridge Heath
Colgate
Faygate
Holmbush
Mannings Heath
Roffey
Warnham

I can visit your pet(s) at home for 30 minutes and depending on your requirements I can:

Feed/water your pet(s)
Let in the garden or a short walk outside
Clean out litter trays/hutches etc
Give them cuddles, company and playtime
Medicate if full details and instructions are provided
Water indoor plants
Provide you with a text update if needed
