About Me/ Company
Hi my name is Paula and welcome to Paws at the Ready!
My previous professional experience has been administration based, but I have always been an animal lover and owned pets. So when the threat of redundancies 2 years ago made me consider my future career I decided it was time to follow my passions. I worked hard and gained 50 hours work experience volunteering at Riding for the Disabled so I could attend college. I started Oatridge Agricultural College in 2009 where I received theoretical and hands on experience with numerous animals from mice to rabbits, snakes, chickens and goats to sheep, alpacas and donkeys! I graduated with an A Grade HNC in Animal Care. But I then found it hard to find a role within this sector, and after some time working at Pets at Home I realised I enjoyed caring for companion pets and helping owners care for them too.
And so Paws at the Ready was born!
