About Me/ Company

OurDogWalkers provide dog walking and puppy visits in and around Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

Each day we collect, walk, and see to dogs needs while their owners are out. Our fun walks are in the open countryside where your dog will get the freedom to stretch its legs, interact with other dogs and explore. Our aim is to return your dog happy, relaxed and well exercised be that once or twice a day.

Puppies also need attention too and we’re pleased to drop by while you’re out to water, feed and give your puppy a leg stretch in the garden.

Overnight dog boarding is also available where we take your dog into our own homes, caring for them as if our own and walking them during the day.

We’re flexible, professional, suitably insured, work as a team to ensure help is always at hand and most importantly, we’re dog owners ourselves.

DOG WALKING IN CHELTENHAM AREAS
Dogs are walked in safe open countryside and generally off the lead, giving them freedom to stretch their legs. Being pack animals we try to walk them in groups, as they love to socialise and play together, even if this is something they’ve not been used to before. Great care is taken to ensure the dogs all get along and the personalities are well matched. Some love to swim, others like exploring the woods and hedgerows while a few just like to pootle along quietly by our side.

Being dog owners ourselves we’re out walking in all weathers throughout the year and with several experienced dog walkers on regular duty, there’s always backup when needed.

Nothing pleases us more than to see your dog looking relaxed, happy and contented when delivered back to your home. If you want us to put out food and fresh water for them before we leave, just ask. We’re here to help.

PUPPY VISITS
If you’re out and about and have to leave your puppy at home, OurDogWalkers can make that all-important home visit to care for its needs until you get home. In a 30 minute visit we’ll take your puppy for a walk round the garden, replenish its water, feed it, clean up as required plus give it some fuss.

As your puppy grows we can also extend this service to taking them on a gentle 30-minute walk, on their own at first but then with other suitable dogs which will provide excellent and essential socialisation opportunities for your puppy. Socialising a puppy with other dogs at an early age is very beneficial to its development.

DOG BOARDING IN OUR OWN HOMES
For clients who use our dog walking services we can sometimes offer overnight boarding for your dog in one of our walkers own homes, alongside their own dog.

Your dog will be treated as part of the family, taken out walking during the day and be with people and dogs it almost certainly already knows. We will either collect your dog for you or you’re very welcome to drop your dog at our walkers house where it will be staying.

To make its stay as comfortable and familiar as possible, we ask your dog to pack the following in its overnight bag:
- Sufficient supply of its normal food to last the holiday
- Its normal dog bed (dogs are fond of their own beds)
- Its water and feeding bowls
- Any medication that it may be taking
- Details of any routines it has
- Contact details for the vet it is registered at
- A copy of its insurance
- Your contact details for while you are away

Since we only use our own walkers for boarding rather than outside carers or foster homes, availability is strictly limited so please enquire about availability as early as possible.
