About Me/ Company

My name is Olivia Clarke and I am a recent graduate in Geography from the University of Bristol. I am back living near Banbury, Oxfordshire (Wardington) for the summer. I am willing to cover areas around Wardington and Banbury, depending on the regularity of the work and my own commitments.

I am friendly, reliable, flexible and caring, having worked in a Nursing Home for the past 5 years, and volunteered in many capacities, from a local brain injury charity to a student-run registered charity Bristol Volunteers for Development Abroad. I am interested in international development, community development, the environment and the natural world and animal welfare. I love being outdoors, especially with my pets - at home we have two rescue dogs and also regularly rehome ex-battery chickens through the British Hen Welfare Trust.

Previous Experience

I have had all sorts of animals throughout my life, from gerbils to horses, chickens and of course dogs. I am therefore confident with dogs and have a lot of experience with all aspects of their care. Currently my family have two rescue dogs, a black Labrador, Buster, and a mixed Terrier type, Tilly. Due to them being rescue dogs they have required greater care and training, and they are often unpredictable, which we have to consider on a day to day basis. I am considerate towards individual dogs, and recognise that they all have specific needs; this is definitely something I have learnt by owning rescue dogs! No two dogs are the same, and similarly, a dog may behave differently on different days and in different situations. Being attentive to this is important and I think experiencing this first hand throughout my life has really equipped me well for looking after other people's dogs.
My love of animals, particularly dogs, makes me a reliable and trustworthy person who will always go the extra mile in making sure your dog is safe and happy.

Qualifications & Training

I don't have any formal qualifications regarding animal keeping/care - I just have experience.

I have a degree from the University of Bristol, in Geography BSc (2.1).
