About Me/ Company

resident of nearly 25 years. Non smoker and non drinker.
I worked in the Police Force for almost 15 years, beginning my service in Sunderland, then moving to Northumberland when my children were born. After I retired I just had to stay in the area and I have lived in Powburn, Wooler and have now settled in Alnwick. Following my retirement from the police I worked in local schools in Whittingham, Wooler and Alnwick, as a Learning Support Assistant.
I recently decided i wanted to find a way to work with my first love, pets, and so set up Northumbrian Pets, a dog walking and pet sitting service.
I currently have a cat and two turtles, and until very recently, a beautiful Black Russian Terrier, Koda. Sadly he was diabetic, and had arthritis and was on constant medication. I hated leaving him when I had to go to work. I never went on holidays as he didn't like going into kennels, but he was so friendly and loved visitors. This gave me the idea for Northumbrian Pets. I would love to be able to care for your pets when you can't...maybe work pressures; days away, weekends or longer. Maybe just to pop in and feed your pet, or even just to sit with them. And of course to walk them and give them the exercise they need and love. Whatever you and your pets needs, i'd love to be able to help......and can assure you of a first class service and value for money.

Previous Experience

As mentioned above I've had animals all my life, ranging from dogs and turtles to cats and tortoises.
I currently have clients from Berwick to Rothbury, and care for various dog and cat breeds such as Chinese Crested, Poodle, Siamese, Labrador, Cavalier etc.

Other Services

I'm happy to administer medication to your pets and offer other services that you may require such as plant watering, organising refuse collection, switching on lights etc. Anything that you need to make your absence from your home less stressful.
