About Me/ Company
I am a responsible and trustworthy dog lover living in Dulwich, southeast London. Dogs and dog walking have been a huge part of my life – I grew up with a Dalmatian, a Pointer and seven (!) Welsh Springer Spaniels in Sheffield, and later looked after a Doberman and three Whippets. I therefore have experience of caring for dogs of all ages, sizes and energy levels. I am also strong and experienced enough to be able to cope with more than one energetic dog at once.
That said, I’m NOT looking to round up a huge group of people’s pooches to take out together. I’m offering to take YOUR dog for a walk on its own, although if he/she has a brother/sister/best friend I will of course be happy to take them too! I’m looking to offer a service for an hour or two a day on a regular (every weekday?) basis to someone who perhaps doesn’t have time to give their four-legged friend a big daytime walk due to work or childcare commitments, or who could just use an extra pair of hands.
If that sounds like you, please get in touch!
Previous Experience
I was actually raised by Dalmatians in the 1970s ;-) (See the Gallery!)
My family owned a beautiful English Pointer and an awesome Welsh Springer Spaniel in the 1980s. That had turned into seven Welsh Springer Spaniels by the 1990s after we decided to breed! I helped deliver these pups from their mother, and then helped care for them right through to their ‘senior citizen’ days.
In the 1990s I lived with my brother and his insane, hyper-energetic and but soft-as-a-brush Doberman cross. She’d been abandoned, chained to a post, on the moors outside Sheffield, so he took her home “for the night†while he worked out what to do with her. Fifteen years later she was still there! During that time I helped feed her, I cleaned up after her, I walked her, I walked her, I walked her ... will I ever meet a dog that loved a walk more than Dot? We’ll see!
I now live in Dulwich, southeast London. Living in a houseshare means that, sadly, I have to be dog-free at home. However, I do get to walk my parents’ three lightning-fast whippets when I go back to Sheffield. It would be great if I could do some more dog walking on a more regular basis here in Dulwich.
