About Me/ Company

Hi! My name is Niamh Taylor and I am a Level 3 animal management student. I am hardworking, flexible and experienced. I have a dog called Bailey who is a 2 year old Cocker Spaniel.

Previous Experience

I have a wide array of previous experience. Firstly, I spent 3 years working at a local kennels as a kennel hand/assistant. I began by volunteering as part of the Duke Of Edinburgh scheme. I am a confident and skilled handler and I have worked with a wide variety of dogs. I can walk dogs in a group or on their own and I am beginning to learn some animal first aid skills at my college. I have experience handling, walking /exercising, grooming, administering medication, providing fresh food and water and currently I am beginning to gain more experience in dog first aid.

I have also completed 150 hours work experience in a local pet shop. I worked alongside a variety of animals and gained loads of new skills. I have become more experienced in my customer service skills and worked in the dog section of the store. I learnt a lot during my time in the pet shop such as: dietary requirements, medications and allergies in dogs.
