I bring genuine enthusiasm and responsibility to dog walking. I understand the importance of exercise, routine, and attentive care for dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Whether it's daily walks, playtime, or providing companionship, I ensure each pup feels safe, happy, and well looked after.
Previous Experience
When I used to do Ironman, I incorporated running with dogs into my training. Now that I'm retired from Ironman, and relocated to London, I am wanting to add that joy of canine companionship to my days. The experiences I had with the dogs I ran with brought me life long friends and memories of very special pups, all of whom I remember fondly.
Qualifications & Training
Experience with dogs: Comfortable handling dogs of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments, including reactive or high-energy dogs.
Basic canine first aid: Knowledge of how to respond to common emergencies
Physical fitness: I am extremely fit and can walk for extended periods of time in varying weather.
Reliability & time management: Consistent, punctual, and able to maintain regular schedules.
Strong communication skills: I communicate effectively with pet owners about behavior, health observations, and schedule updates.
Understanding dog behavior: Familiar with canine body language, leash handling, and basic training reinforcement techniques.
Trustworthiness: Mature, even-tempered, clean background and strong references.
Relevant Info
Dog walking isn't something I do for money or to build a big clientele base; I prefer to have a handful of clients and the ability to spend extra time with the dogs. I love dogs and truly miss my days of running miles upon miles with them. While my running days are behind me, dog walking in London is purely to get me out and about, learn the city, and meet interesting people -- and their dogs!
Other Services
I can care for other animals, reptiles, and fish. I have two cats (so very familiar with how to care for our feline friends). I also have experience with fresh and salt water tanks. I am comfortable with all reptiles and birds. I'm also a retired Sommelier, so should you need cellar advice, I'm good for that, too ;)
