About Me/ Company

Muddy Paws Limited is a dog walking business based in Wantage, Oxfordshire. Recently established by Lauren Corfe, a Registered Veterinary Nurse with a pure love of dogs of all shapes and sizes, as well as the great outdoors! We can collect and return your dog from home and go out and about in Wantage and the surrounding areas, and you can rest at ease knowing that the best care is being provided by someone who is devoted to dogs.

The facilities that Muddy Paws offer include the following:

Registered Veterinary Nurse with 8 years experience looking after your dogs at all times.
Walks standardly offered Monday to Friday between 8am-5pm. If you require my service outside of these hours please contact me and this can be arranged.
Walks charged ½ hourly or hourly- you pay for just the walk, not time in between (collecting/delivering etc.)
Pop in service- if you don’t necessarily need your dog walking but need someone to pop in for toilet breaks, or to ensure enough water, give medications etc.
Fully insured vehicle, able to carry four dogs at one time, each dog will travel in a crate.
Walks tailored to your dogs’ specific needs- we will go on different adventures every day! So whether your canine companion likes a ramble up the ridgeway, a stroll around the block or loves going to the park with a ball, it really is up to you.
Fully Insured with all aspects of dog walking, including walking dogs off lead depending upon owners requirements.
A meeting between myself, owners and of course the dog(s) before the initial walk. This way the dogs get to know me and we can establish what kind of service you require. The dogs will also quickly associate my arrival with a walk!
First Aid Kit, Emergency Contacts, Water and Bowl carried on my person at all times.
Peace of mind knowing that your beloved pet is being cared for by an animal professional.

Muddy Paws- About us

Muddy Paws Limited is a recently established company, by a registered Veterinary Nurse in Wantage, Oxfordshire.
After 8 years of nursing in various different practices, I decided to leave nursing
as I have 2 young children, and wanted to spend more time with them. I took an admin role to fit in around school hours, but soon realised that I missed the dogs too much, missed coming home furry and that I wanted to be out and about more! So after some brainstorming, that’s how Muddy Paws was born.

Dog Walking

I offer a dog walking service whereby I will collect your dog and if necessary drive them to a perfect spot where they can get out and about and enjoy the very essence of being a dog. If your dog does not like travelling in a car or you live conveniently close to a lovely walk that is suitable, then we will just walk! I am fully insured and my vehicle can carry up to four dogs at a time. I am also insured to walk dogs off lead, but this can be discussed when we meet.

Pop-In Service

I also offer a “pop-in” service, whereby if your dog doesn’t necessarily need to be taken out for a walk but needs more frequent toilet breaks i.e due to age, side effect of medication, length of time on own etc then I can do this for you. I will refresh water on my visit and if food/medication needs to be given then this can be arranged also.

I feel it is extremely important to establish a great bond with both clients and of course the dogs. Therefore before the initial walk, I will visit you and the dog(s) at your home, and if you like go for a walk together. This way the dog understands that if you trust me and let me into your home, then hopefully that will be less of an issue when I call to pick the dog(s) up for the first time.
By spending a bit of time with you all, it will also enable me to ascertain every little detail about your dog that I need, to ensure I can provide the best possible service and that I can bond with your canine companion.

I will also ask you to fill out a form with all of this detail so that I can keep it on file, and have all necessary phone numbers to hand if and when required.
My aim is to spark up a friendly but professional relationship that is very flexible dependant on your needs.
