About Me/ Company

Muddy paws and claws is a professional dog walking and pet sitting service, which provides an alternative to 'short break' boarding your pets at a kennel, cattery or imposing upon friends and family. Our services are aimed at responsible pet owners who want the best care for their animals. You can be away from your home, safe in the knowledge that your pets are in our capable and experienced hands.

Based in Sidcup, Kent, our operational area is restricted to an approximate five mile radius to ensure the dedicated care of our client’s pets. Please contact us if you are slightly further from these areas, to see if we can help in anyway.
These areas include Sidcup, Bexley and Chislehurst.

Muddy paws and claws holds Pet business insurance (public liability insurance).
We are also CRB cleared for your piece of mind.

DOG WALKING
60 minute walk: £11
An additional dog in the same household (Max of two):£5 extra

SMALL PETS (for most small common pets, Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Gerbils etc)
To stay in our home, with daily checks, TLC and lots of time in the animal run: £15 per week

HOME VISITS (for most small common pets)
All home visits would include the following:
Provision of fresh water and food
Cuddles, play and lots of TLC, Basic grooming
Cleaning up any accidents (to the best of our ability)
Logging of your pets activities
Basic home security checks
Bringing in the post, Taking out the rubbish, Open and close curtains,
Water plants, Switching lights on and off
For a dog it would also include a 45min walk (1hr visit in total): £11 per visit
For a cat (45 mins in total): £10 per visit
Small pets (45 mins in total): £10 per visit

If an additional 45 min dog walk is required on the same day: £8 per walk
Longer visits can be arranged: £4 per 15mins

A point to remember is that keeping your dog at home will save you visiting a groomers, paying kennel cough fees, on average saving approximately £100 per dog.
Overall stress levels for all pets would be dramatically reduced. for your piece of mind.

PUPPY CARE
Home visits: One or two visits a day.
(This service could be over a longer period of time - to be discussed): £11/ £19 per day

PET TAXI
If we expand into this area, local trips to vets, groomers etc: £20 per hour plus
(Minimum charge £20): £1 per mile

HOLIDAY SURCHARGES - These would incur double charges. - New Years Eve, New Years Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Easter Monday, All Bank Holidays, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day

Other Services

DOG WALKING As our 'About us' states our dog walking service is based on a one to one basis, unless there is more than one dog in the household. This service is designed for those owners who are at work all day, unexpectedly called away, elderly, or have other commitments.
Dogs will receive a 60 minutes of exercise/ play/ TLC depending on age, level of fitness and your requests as our client.
We do ask that your dog has been fully vaccinated, we can clarify this from the Veterinarians. If you have a young puppy this will not be an issue.

If you feel your dog needs interaction with another dog, our beautiful pointer cross Digby is perfect for a little gentle playtime and companionship.
No dog will be let off the lead, unless directed to by the client to ensure the safety of all parties concerned. We will stay in the familiar area of your home too, if thats what you want.

SMALL PETS We can look after your pets in our home either indoors or in one of our many Rabbit hutches in our garden, with daily use of our animal run. Alternatively a daily visit to your home so not to impose upon friends and neighbours whilst on holiday can be arranged.

DAILY HOME VISITS This is suitable for cats and dogs that find it hard to be put in kennels and catteries on a short term basis. We can also bring your mail in, take out rubbish, open and close curtains, water plants, turn lights on and off. Also we will endever to clean any accidents that your pets may have had too. Your home will have that 'lived in' look during your absence, which provides heighten security for your premises while you’re away.

PUPPY CARE We can visit your puppy for feeding, playtime, toilet breaks and socialisation. Pre-fully Immunised we can visit your home (HOME VISIT) or use our dog walking service when it's older is a perfect way in which to socialise your puppy and get it used to the great outdoors.

KEYS Muddy paws and claws can retain your house keys on file if you choose and have them returned at a convenient time to you. Security is our business so keys and addresses are never attached together. Also in an emergency situation we are one phone call away, in case you lose or lock your own keys in the house, (small call out fee will apply of £5).

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS At the initial meeting we can discuss any special requirements which may not be covered by any of the above. We will endever to meet the needs of you and your pet, including carefully following a special diet or food requirement.

PET TAXI Not available at the moment, however we are considering expanding into this area if our clients feel it would be a benefit to them. This service would cover a trip to the grooming parlour, to and from the vets, cattery or kennels.
