About Me/ Company

I am 18 years old and studying an Animal Management course at college. I have a passion for animals.

Previous Experience

I have volunteered in an animal shelter where I cleaned cared for cats, kittens and dogs. Whilst at the animal kennel, I took dogs on long walks and played in big fields.

I have a years experience volunteering in a dog grooming parlour where I worked with different breeds of dogs, bathing and drying them ready for a style.

I have experience from working on farms, with animals such as pigs, sheep and cows. Doing this allowed me to gain a wider range of knowledge of larger animals.

On a Tuesday I volunteer at Flamingo Land zoo, where I go ‘behind the scenes’ with the keepers to help clean, feed and provide a safe environment for animals such as giraffes, black rhinos, penguins, ectotherms (reptiles), hippos, tigers and birds.

At college I have experience with mammals such as meerkats, ferrets, raccoons, raccoon dogs, lemurs, wallabies and reptiles such as geckos, chelonians, snakes, amphibians and aquatics. When I’m with these animals I carry out cleaning routines, handling and feeding.

Qualifications & Training

I am studying towards a Level 3 Animal Management Diploma at Askham Bryan College in York.

I have successfully achieved a PASS grade in Health & Safety.

I also have a DBS check.

The services I offer are dog walks, pet sitting and home visits for reasons such as feeding or letting outside.
