About Me/ Company

Hello,

My name is Melina, I was born in Lisbon and came to London 4 years ago.

I am 30 years old, with a degree in Anthropology but my biggest passion is Theatre and that is what I am doing in London, besides some retail and hospitality jobs here and there when I need money urgently. The problem with these jobs is that the payment is minimum wage, instead of the London living wage, the people who are in charge, supervisors, managers, bosses are usually very unpleasant people to deal with and it's mainly pure exploitation with little time to follow my dreams.

I am a very active person and also a morning person. I cycle all around London.

I love art. I am not an expert on it, I can probably identify some paintings and sculptures, I love performance and contemporanean art, radical art that make me think and question the world and my surroundings. I love cinema and music, and a good book, if good, is like a good friendship.

Previous Experience

Pets, specially dogs but also cats, were always part of my family, and now that I am in London, I miss them (sometimes more than my fellow humans). I don't have any kind of training besides 27 years of having, Fofinha, Luna, Estrela, Soneca, Duquesa (my dogs) and Riscas and Rosa (my cats). They are/were part of my life. When I was born Fofinha was already in the family and she (I am sorry but I can't call animals by pronoun it) lived until I was 7 years old. They were all rescued dogs with different sizes and different personalities. The cats came later and they were also rescued cats, both of them were extremely sweet and yes, independent but also caring, it is hard for me to understand when people say they can't trust cats!

For me to connect with animals is easy peasy, I believe that if we are humble and kind to them but still keeping the leadership, animals (not only pets) can and do have an unconditional love and respect for us.
