About Me/ Company

I am 20 years old and at the present time, have a part-time job at a local sports retailer. Last year I completed a two year Animal Husbandry Course at Craven College and am now looking for a job to work with animals. Ideally I would love to work in a zoo or an aquarium, but these jobs are very hard to come by at the present time. At home we have 5 cats, one dog, one degu and one gerbil!!!!

Previous Experience

I had a voluntary job at St Leonard's Farm in Esholt for just over a year. I worked every Wednesday dealing with the public showing proper handling techniques for a variety of farm and domestic animals including rabbits, rats, lambs, meerkats, etc, and informing members of the public how to care properly for the animals. I also worked in the kiosk selling bags of animal feed for the various animals, and acted as a guide for the farm. I cleaned out the animals on a regular basis, performed regular health checks and assisted with the vaccinations of livestock.

I have looked after my Aunt's two dogs and three cats whilst they were away, and also looked after my Aunt's parents three cats too and have been booked to do this again this year!

Qualifications & Training

I left school with 9 GCSEs, 3 A-Level passes and a pass in B-Tec Medical Science. I then went on to complete a two year Animal Husbandry Course at Craven College.
