About Me/ Company

Hi, my name is Marie and I'm 48 years old. I love all animals and at the moment I have 5 dogs, a ferret and some rescue squirrels!
I love cats and have always had cats in the past but as I now have 2 retired greyhounds we've decided we can't have a cat for now. I also have an elderly border terrier x and 2 rescue dogs from Romania, one who is an old boy with three legs who was only expected to live a few weeks but with love, comfort (and a good vet!) we've had him 3 months and still going strong. The other Romanian is a very scared nervous little soul after his horrific life but we've had him 8 months and he gets better every day :)
In the past I've had shelties, labs and Irish Wolfhounds as well as cats, rabbits and gerbils. I love them all. No experience of horses though.

Previous Experience

In the past I have volunteered at The Cats Protection League as a fosterer, Bury Stray Cats Fund as general assistant and Retired Greyhound Trust as a dog walker.
At the moment I am a fosterer for Safe Rescue Dogs Needing Homes, based in Norfolk. They take in dogs from this country and abroad, assess them in foster homes and find new homes from them. Some of the stories are very sad and upsetting but the work is so rewarding.

Qualifications & Training

I am insured and had my last CRB check around 5 years ago when I was working as a Rehabilitation Support Worker for people with brain injuries.

Other Services

For dog walking I cover the Downham Market/Swaffham/Theford/Brandon areas but willing to travel further for overnight stays.
